I forget what the artillery guys called the technique and I'm not 100% sure I'm recollecting it properly. But to deal with snipers in the wood line they would direct fire a "killer jr" shell (shell stacked with a bunch of "washers") with a VT fuze to knock down as many branches as possible and then send high angle Willy P round set to explode above the wood line burning up the remaining troops. I think they called it shake and bake? Been awhile since I've been around gun bunnies.
I've always wondered, if arty boys are kings of battle, what are chair force bros? The Vatican? This hierarchy seems dated. While I appreciate their contribution to the fight, I think King of Battle might be a bit much these days. Drones and other RC weapons platforms are going to replace a lot of us pretty soon.
