Having an ally can allow individuals to remain independent.
NO.
NO.
NO NO NO NO NO.
THAT IS NOT HOW IT WORKS.
The is BY DEFINITION dependence.
, thanks for the rage laugh.
idiolizing a glownigger nigger
Sigh.
I know it's counter intuitive... we are all badass lone wolves...but prove what you say. Both Asch conformity & Milgram experiments show when there is less uniform conformity, dissent increases.
don't you want the sheep to follow you?
It's irrelevant what the experiments showed evidence of.
My reply wasn't about that. My reply was about the language used - incorrectly - the descriptions.
having an ally to support you
IS LITERALLY NOT INDEPENDENCE.
Caps necessary I guess? It's not hard to understand. A pair of people working together toward something does NOT show independence.
i know what you are saying, your point semantically makes sense, and that wording is confusing and hanging you up. Independent thinking of the participant, where they trust their own eyes rather than blindly following the herd, is enoucraged & increases statistically when the wall of conformity is broken by other members of the herd that act like role models. It's not that the participant follows another sheep, but feels empowered to break conformity & folllow their own path, instead of being a blind follower. Imagine it saying, having an ally support you ____ in thinking for yourself. Watching someone escape & following them out of Platos cave doesn't mean you are now in their cave, following them. Breaking conformity, not conforming to an ally.
