So I knew about this years ago, they basically tested it on animals first, like sheep. The problem here is that since the cell is not an actual egg cell, but just a hollowed-out skin cell awaiting new data, they’re basically mutating it into doing something it was never intended to do.
In general, you’d clone something by removing the nucleus from an egg cell and replacing it with another person’s DNA, then you’d place the newly-created embryo into a surrogate mother who’d carry the clone to term.
Keep in mind that women and wombs are basically optional now, so... who knows wtf kind of abominations we’ll be seeing in the near future?

Surrogate mothers are purchasable, but we don't have artificial wombs... yet. The closest legal option is a womb transplant, but immunosuppressants aren't there... yet. The corona vaccine advanced it enough to make the transplant possible within a decade.
