Why would the sex hormone Testosterone make you more susceptible to viral infection, when testosterone typically protects against cytokine response and viral pathogenesis in almost all other cases?

It's why women, the elderly, and children are generally most at risk from illness. (Those with lower T levels).

Testosterone even protects you against some allergies like Asthma. You don't see too many normal grown men wheezing.

That is correct, Covid19 vaccines in my country require two dose, I wish they were already available.
