LOL, yeah men intruded. Women were so much better off bleeding to death during pregnancy and losing a good portion of the babies to complications. How much insanity fills your head that this nonsense seems normal and logical?
I was waiting for these facts to be stated.
Childbirth was dangerous throughout human history.
But can you look mainstream obstetrics and tell me that it’s okay now?
The process of birth for a typical American woman these days is: expensive, damaging (One ex. The episiotomy), and coldly inhuman (as a child is taken from the mother).
Cesarean sections are vastly over performed. Proper pelvic health ISN’T EVEN TAUGHT to expecting mothers.
Yes, women aren’t given a choice between life and death when going into childbirth. Absolutely that means something.
But what do you have now? Women who don’t get the chemical cocktails that help them bond with their baby? Having their vaginas torn to bits, sometimes never recovering, leaving them a lifetime of genital shame?
In hospitals, women are strapped to at LEAST TWO devices, and forced into laying on their backs to give birth.
Why do you think pregnancy is such a THREAT to most white women? Really, tell me?
Blaming men for the problems with modern medicine is irrational. Claiming that all medicines is bad is irrational. I would personally prefer a midwife and a home birth with the option of going to the hospital in case of an emergency.
It's the shoehorned sexism that I find the most off the rails.
It's clear that hospitals and doctors don't have the patient's best interests in mind when they push so many vaccinations on newborns and spend so much effort to prevent any studies comparing vaccinated to unvaccinated health. But if you follow the trail you will find that women participate in that just as much as men.
I read on here the chainsaw was invented to cut women's bones during birthing because the man doctors wanted to stand comfortable while the woman laid on her back fighting gravity, as opposed to squatting. Doctors are dumb.
I can blame men for what they did before anyone else got into the industry.
Being a white female, this is the only thing I hold against my own men. Do I blame my brother on this, though? No, but I’ve made it abundantly clear that white males trespassed against us severely by entering into the world of pregnancy and childbirth.
A poor white female would have better outcomes with a midwife than a rich white female who had money for a doctor 100 years ago.
The HORROR of giving birth - well maybe it’s always been a horror. When you read about how men would go work with corpses, not wash their hands, and then go deliver a baby only for that mother to die within a week... Or how women in the 50’s were drugged and went psychotic while they endured painful births while being strapped to the bed only to wake up the next day and remember nothing. (Happened to my best friends mom).
Antibiotics and transfusions.
That’s what helped reduced mortality rates in childbirth.
By the 1950’s most women gave birth in hospitals.
What a shit show. It’s no ones fault and everyone’s fault. I had my daughter in a hospital. Strapped to 3 devices, on my back, ended up with a c-section when it was my scheduled time. My friend, she pushed - tore her vagina apart because she wasn’t coached on preparing it for labor. She endured years of physical therapy to regain normal functioning, and may never have sex again.
Midwives should have never been relegated. That was shoehorned sexism.
