he described it mathematically. as in, he could use the same equation describing the mechanics of objects falling on earth to describe the mechanics of the odd heavenly bodies that had strange orbits (those being the planets, that seem to reverse course in their orbits)
But until you study the location of shiny objects in the sky, you will always be at the mercy of somebody else telling you what reality is.
