The women I have to work with were having an absolute meltdown over this paper. They can't reconcile that maybe they have inferior scientific tutelage compared to men, so they are blaming the usual suspects - white men, the patriarchy, and misogyny. I'm waiting for it to come up again so I can casually drop how Islamophobic they are being while not supporting other women in science (the lead author is apparently also a woman).

I'm really close to leaving science for carpentry. A career in science is an absolute ponzi scheme for the reasons you described. At the end of the day, I want to solve complicated, rewarding problems and science is such a shitshow anymore, it's not worth it for how far it's fallen from grace. I'm trying to convince a relative that HCQ, which has over a decade of evidence showing specificity for CoVid-19's sister strain, as well as recent evidence that countries using HCQ did 90% better than Western countries with their infections/deaths, is safe to take prophylactically. They are older and might actually have a more averse reaction to getting sick with CoVid. Thanks to CDC and WHO lies, along with garbage kike media, they think they are going to die if they take it in any capacity. What good is a mountain of knowledge if no one wants or cares about it?
