Crows are as (or more for modern ones) intelligent as a young child, and have a very distinct social order. They'll be your friend and bring you shiny stuff if you keep them fed. The crows aren't scared of you because they know they can fly away and you can't come after them. That, to me, shows they have some sort of reasoning capability. They're also assholes.
