Soo, in other words: my reading an article years ago about sun spots being the best indication of global temps, was all I needed to accurately predict that the climate was entering a low period due to the solar minimum (actually did make this prediction--years ago--after learning about sun spots being best indicator of solar activity)?

Holy shit. these people are fucking retarded. How are those climate models going for you faggots? Nice to see you spent millions on the data centers required to run those bitches, when all it takes to determine if the climate is going to go up or down is to LOOK AT THE FUCKING SUN.

It's a little more complicated than looking at the sun (besides, that's bad for your eyes!) but yes. In a nutshell, the best indicator for warming / cooling trends is the source of our warmth.

Looking at the sun through strong-ass light filters

I should've clarified :p

OK. That literally made me LOL when I read it.

It's even more complicated than that, and yes, after reading this researcher's paper years ago I have been somewhat scared shitless for my two young sons. Imagine growing up without long hot summer days, this is going to suck for them (and the rest of us too).

My nephew, when he was very young, read about sun spots and decided he was going to dedicate his life to finding a new planetary home for humanity. As he got older and experienced humanity in all its glory he decided he'd learn something that would earn him a good salary.
