Working for the diary industry I see. It serves a similar function and I don't see how it can be misleading to consumers. Consumers are dumb but...
On the other hand, how about they go after fake cheese instead that has no milk in it. I've bought it on accident before because of misleading labeling. I bet half the people that buy that shit don't know it's fake cheese.
I think they're just trying to identify natural biologically produced vs. man-made milk. Fake cheese is not called cheese where I live. It's usually called "slices" or cheese flavored. You can tell it's fake since it's so much cheaper than the real thing. I mistakenly bought it once. It's just emulsified oil and taste like someone spit it out. It's nasty.
