I get where Voal was coming from though, the author should have said it was a cold Civil War, which more accurately describes the conflict since it is most certainly not open war (which would be e.g., shooting eachother, constant acts of sabotage to logistics structures etc etc).

I guess, though that's more like "civil unrest", and also definitely doesn't constitute what I'd consider frequent/constant acts of sabotage to logistics structures (which to me is stuff like blowing out bridges/power stations/water or gas pipelines).
Both your position and Voal's have merit I feel.
Anyway, good story OP. This lady was smart in that she didn't do the groveling capitulation routine which normies tend to do that always fails.
