The 100 years they talked about are just known reserves, and there's USA sized areas they haven't even looked at for oil and gas.

Nobody wants clouds of smog floating over their heads. But also no one wants to be told a lie like we're being told now. I don't think it would be that hard for them to rework the combustion engine to get pretty much all the bad soot and shit out of the exhaust.
