The russian space chief recently complimented the american contingent on the ISS for their assistance in repairs, then went on to say that he was certain russia could have fixed the problem on their own...

Can't blame him for displaying Russian confidence in their ability to fix it [eventually]. Good of him to complement the Americans given the bullshit America is pulling on Russia via Ukraine and NATO. To a large degree I think space comraderie overcomes the politics at home, especially for those in space. Up there success means they must depend on each other.

That's an interesting thought I hadn't considered. This guy was the head of the space agency, and an engineer. I don't see him as much of a potential DS threat unless he has control of nuclear ICBMs or space weapons. I expected the military to control those. IDK.
