In other oil producing countries gas is nearly free. They pay pennies per gallon and everyone shrugs and says "well duh, they have so much and that's why it's cheap."

America produces more sweet crude than any other country. Sweet crude is the best for making gasoline. Heavier crudes are used for plastics and tar. That is all we import. All our fuel crude is produced domestically.

We still pay nearly $5/gal.

Our greatest enemies run this country.

Washington is not losing sleep over it. “If Russian oil is going to be selling at bargain prices and we're happy to have India get that bargain or Africa or China. It's fine," US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen previously told Reuters.

Apparently Americans don't deserve the cheap fuel prices that come with having access to the largest domestic oil supply in the world, including Canada's.

Stupid thing is if they build a pipeline straight down from Alberta, the combined Canada/🇺🇸 oil reserves dwarf anyone else out there. It's insane. We have enough for the next 1000 years. They could make gas and heating oil free for every person in Canada/ USA with the profits alone of selling it to the rest of the world. They should be allowed to export only if they charge domestic consumers cost of production, and just get paid by government out of export royalties.
