I see a pattern.

  1. nation or geopolitical region "refuses" to enforce mandates

  2. People make shitposts like this about "based xyz"

  3. Walkback happens later on, and now mandates are enforced

  4. DoD/FBI/ADL/GCHQ trolls post demoralization threads either mocking the new mandates, or promoting how we're powerless and should give up, or some flavor or variation of those two.

  5. rinse/repeat.
