My toaster has a purpose that is useful to me.
I put bread in, and it makes toast from that bread.
I don't cuddle with my toaster after using it for its purpose, I take the toast and eat it, ignoring the toaster for the rest of the day, until I desire to use it again in the same way.
The difference between this pictures situation and the toaster is that I at least get to take some toast with me after using it.
