Does retrobright work on shiny ABS plastic or will it peel the finish?

I have this retro robotic dog I'm looking to clean up. The only products I've used to clean up ABS is retrobright and that's on a matte snes/nes/crt monitor surface. This ABS has a glossy finish.

Who says I don’t like robot dogs?

No such thing as a bad doggo. Not even robotic. Unless it's a pitbull. Then it will probably murder your niece and grandmother.

What's the active chemical in retrobright?

[–] 2 pts

what are you doing touching plastic??

The only thing these hands touch is pure steel.

I don't retrobrite as it makes the plastic brittle a year or so after. I just use oxy clean and a scrub brush.

All you need is a hydrogen peroxide solution of any kind. A cream base will keep it from drying out.

Would just mixing w/ baking soda provide an adequate cream like base you think?

Maybe. Try it on something youI don't mind destroying first
