I once temporarily took in a great dane from this couple who worked in the oilfield. They were away on work or long days and only ever let him out of a cage for a few hours a day. This is a great dane! Not a fucking lab or collie (not that those would make it any better)! It took me weeks of constant training for him to understand his body and how big he was, to socialize him, and get him to just calm the fuck down. He was a good boy though. I'm glad to have found him a family with a big ranch to let him run.
