I recently donated time to an episcopal church. I helped put together bags and boxes of food and pet food for this church.
I saw them on Facebook asking for help on a day I had available.
One of the older women had a rainbow rain coat and umbrella (it was raining).
I asked her if her rainbows had any meaning. She said yes, because she’s an “Ally of the lgbt.” I just said that’s neat and fulfilled what I offered to do.
I’m ignorant to what episcopal means. I go to a Baptist church every other Wednesday with a man who was I guess at one point a “step-uncle” because he invited me and he is a good man who helps my dad a lot.
Before I make my decision to never help this church again, was this older lady an outlier or what?
Again, I’m ignorant to what different churches mean or are. I just want to be okay with God the best I can be because I’m not the best person in the world. I hope that makes sense.
