But isn't that good? I think that's perfect.
Talking with my father about this today. He said that Jesus also said that I'm going to paraphrase but if you pray with two know that I am there. And that's how he rationalized the reason for going to church. That's kind of what got me thinking about this post.
Of course it's good. When I mean getting in touch with God, I mean to not just communicate with Him, but to also participate in Communion.
I was talking to someone else on here about just how awful going through the build up to communion in Catholicism is. And is there a way to stop all the ritual and pageantry before that. And they had said check out Lutheranism or as it's more to the point. I just got to figure out how to do that. It's funny actually, I was driving somewhere and I saw Luther in church but when I looked at my clock it was 10:40 and the service has started at 10:30 so I didn't think it'd be appropriate to show up late.
I switched to the Lutheran Church myself after learning of what the Catholic Church had become, plus Orthodoxy doesn't really exist where I live. The LCMS (Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod) is one of the last denominations that still condemns sodomy and still has at least some tradition.
Here's the official website of the LCMS to help you find a church nearby. https://locator.lcms.org/church
