Don't forget that some people want and need those prophecies to turn true, and they work their asses off since decades to make that happen. A literal psyop of biblical proportions. Prophecies can also be viewed as geopolitical landmarks to attain, it's not mutually exclusive btw

And it really doesn't matter to them what's your interpretation of the christian bible and eschatology, they have their own and it's the one that matters to them, and they have a tremendous influence over US foreign politicies, and they also enjoy the support of a large segment of the DS, for obvious reasons
