goatmatrix dot net was started by a former poaler who got algo'd a couple of years ago. It's relative level of "good" is up to you to decide.

There's the random interesting thing there, but it's a slow forum.

Avoid Lemmy instances like the plague. They're so far left it makes reddit look moderate at times. Unless you like lefty lies, furry things, and weebs, that is.

There's also raddle.me which has been called communism in a board, but again - the relative level of good is up to you. hubski.com is also still kicking around out there somewhere, it's been around for a while.

Poal’s code has evolved/changed so much, only endpoints and some functions remain (there no need to reinvent the wheel).

I’m still keeping the license and reference to Throat as I respect and will be forever grateful to and for it, especially in the early Poal days.

I tried this site right after Putt betrayed old Voat. It was meh to say the least.

Too bad it's gone though, anything to keep people from using reddit/jewsky.

Sad to hear, but thanks for letting me know. As I've said, they seemed like an OK bunch. I never really fit in over there, but I am sad to see it go.
