The owner can physically remove you the moment you decline the order to leave.
The moment you refuse to leave you become a trespasser.
No different from any other home invader.
The owner striking you to force you out is not assault if the force is "reasonable."
Just like a bouncer removes you from a bar.
Striking the owner is assault.
So now it's trespassing and assault.
At that point the owner can probably legally kill you in self defense.
Self defense is not just defense of self. It is also defense of property.
It doesn't matter what other laws the owner may or may not be violating.
Call the police and press charges if you want to, but do not trespass.
This knobhead wannabe Viva Frei. The door was open, the business was open to trade. Trespass is only a thing when you are creating nuisance. In your mind, if you go into a business to complain and they don't want to hear your complaint, they can ask you to leave then get a baseball bat out and kill you in self-defence? Fuck off will ya lad.
Don't be fooled by that logic - trespass exists as soon as you refuse the property owner's order to leave. The property owner is not required to justify that call in any way whatsoever. This includes renters, leaseholders, etc.
In a store, your permission to first enter during the public hours of operation is implied, not your right to remain when told to leave. You have no right to remain if it is not your property. The owner does have the right to remove you from the property. Including physically if necessary.
Is the bat "unreasonable" when you are both outnumbered and outmassed?
Not if you are in fear for your life from openly aggressive people who are refusing to leave.
