I hate "boomer"/"zoomer" bullshit. You are a person, and a label like that makes you seem less than one. They call themselves that, but I would never call them that, I want to have respect for them, but that's a different issue.

Parents are the kind that follow the goo-tube and really glued to election (in Canadaland). When they tried to talk about certain 'NPC issues' and I blew them off. "If I wanted to hear about the NPC talking points, I'd listen to the goo-tube, I don't want to hear it reiterated from you." I did not actually say this. So they got mad that "I don't listen"

It got me thinking, I do actually listen to them. When they speak from the heart, I listen to their words, their love and advice. I guess what irritates them is that I listen to God and not woke, I reject their worship.

Flip it around on them. Talk about something you're concerned about and make them listen. It's only fair right? Focus on dad. Most (so cry babies don't accuse me of generalizing) women aren't willing to break past what "everybody else thinks" to get to the truth. Mom is most likely a waste of time. She'll actually probably sabotage whatever conversation you try to have so I would recommend getting a beer or something with just dad. Bring up something that will get him to start thinking. Plant the seed. There's plenty of stuff in clown world that makes no sense. See what he thinks when mom isn't around. Good luck.

Same situation for me. Mother is complete NPC for the tv. Dad is hard headed and apathetic, but can be reached with slow reasoning, or at least pointing out things that don't make sense to you, or contradictions you have noticed.
