What pizza place you go to makes a big difference. I had pineapple and pepperoni pizza once and it wasn't bad, but they didn't put much pineapple on it. I've had buffalo chicken pizza with blue cheese that was exceptionally good, and a lot of buffalo chicken pizza that was shit. The town I live in now has a pizza joint run by a Greek and while it's not terrible pizza, the ingredients are good quality, cooked properly, they're just weird pizzas and I don't care for them. Conversely you can get "low quality" pizza in most of Jew York and it will be decent by the standards of average Americans. Gotta hand it to Jew York, best pizza and bagels in the nation. They could probably make Hawaiian pizza good.
