The Carrington event would have fuked us up if it happened now. People reported electrical arching across railroad tracks, that's like 4' arcs. I think It fried telegraph lines.
Today that would fry all modern cars, computers, power stations, cell phones... it's like an emp, actually I think it technically is an emp, but naturally occurring.
an emp is just a massive electromagnetic field that fluctuates really fast, that is essentially what the sun spews out. so if that shit isnt blocked by the atmosphere and we arent shielding our most important electronics we may be reaching a tower of babble situation
