It's a joke because while you're probably right about "You should have got sick so you deserve to pay!', nevertheless its a joke: the truth is that no one will pay and everyone will pay at the same time. We'll pay now, we'll pay later, and we already paid, and continue to pay day after day.

Higher inflation.

Lost hope.

Suicides.

Increased crime, murder, rapes, thefts, arsons. People, who because of the news, wallstreet, and DCs crimes, will now live without their sisters, their brothers, their mothers, and fathers, grandparents, friends, and so many others lost to murder through the jab, ventilators, or suicides.

Wars to distract from all of this

People who will give up on their plans or future because of having to live through all of this and the economic downfall.

The housing collapse that is soon to follow, leading to alcoholism, cancer, suicides, kids whos parents will fight over money, lower wages, crime, more dangerous run down communities and streets, an overbearing state to compensate, more corrupt officials.

And on and on and on.
