Not really. It’s excess calories, either from fat or sugar. But most of the time they have an underlying metabolism problem, especially thyroid issues. The “hate one major macronutrient and blame the world’s atrocities on it” way of thinking is lazy and getting boring

Eating plants is well known to lead to thyroid issues. Carnivore dieters usually don't their thyroid healing after a couple years.

Sugar, starch, carbs - they all sound insulin, and that is the source of many diseases.

No, eating goitrogens in plants i.e brassicas can lower your thyroid function. Carnivores thyroid is in the gutter which is very obvious from their off the charts high ldl levels. Carbs, sugar, and starch are different, and all required to stay alive. Without insulin you will die, that’s why type 1 (and advanced stage type 2) diabetics inject themselves with it. You really really need to study more

Hyperinsulinemia is what you get from a carb rich diet. This is a massive disease driver.
