I swear to god weight lifting makes you smarter. The whole thing about dumb people lifting weights is bullshit. Not only do you get more blood flow to the brain you stop thinking about stupid bullshit and worries so you focus more easily. That's why this guy is so clued in.

Weight lifting to get cut like this guy takes a lot of study and dedication. You have to be nutritionally aware that most food is shit. You have to lift compound weights without getting injured, which means you're acutely aware of your body functions. The body pumps more blood, which means your brain has more blood carrying oxygen, a critical component of its function. You also become very aware that in the jungle the size matters more than anything else, and you see the shift in social dynamics around you. If you're not lifting or doing some sort of intense exercise, you're a certified bitch.

ended up listening to audio books while at the gym, can only listen to the same songs so many times before they're a bore

I still listen to music but after the workout I'll just sit and read for hours. It's the best time of the day
