It's not so much aesthetics but realizing everyone see's that and goes that is fucked up looking. It's the thing is out of mental balance with the rest of the neighborhood or any neighborhood. Windows have a norm base height or a few norms mattering what type your installing like a bay windows or a bathroom type "way higher" or just a normal windows that is usually at the bottom around hip level or 30 inches about bottom of a door base.
