Both my parents are vaccinated and they still wear a mask. I never wore a mask, when businesses told me I needed one, I would simply say "I forgot it, do you have a spare?" 99% of the time they'd give me one, and when they didn't I would cross that company off my list.
And even surgeons don’t wear them for longer than a couple hours.
If you had suggested to ANY doctor in 2019 if people should all wear masks during flu season to slow the spread of the flu, they would have condescendingly treated you like an idiot.
“It doesn’t work that way.”
“It’s not good to cover your mouth and nose that long.”
“The flu isn’t deadly enough to warrant that.”
“It’s only old people who are really at risk.”
And all the other things that sane people say now about masks.
Medical staff change their masks at least seven times a day, sometimes more.
I have some relatives who are medical professionals, and they tell me they feel physically ill seeing the filthy things people do with their masks.
I saw a woman in a public bathroom take off her mask and put it on the sink while she did her face. Then put it on again. This is after using the toilet, of course.
I nearly hurled. They make a point in hospitals that you must change your mask after every bathroom visit.
I work at a hospital and I’ve seen patients wearing all manner of dirty masks, that they’ve obviously had for days.
The whole thing is stupid and disgusting. And above all, pointless.
