Yeah, california promoted itself as some sort of idyllic place. Its just a hellhole. My brother moved there at 19. Stayed for several years, moved back home for a few years, then straight back to cali. Married a cali girl, went full native. Hes currently a dedicated branch covidian. Sisters been living there for a number of years now too. I dont see the appeal. Feel completely disconnected from my own blood at this point. Hardly know them anymore. Its depressing.
Don't be depressed mate, they're living in an idyllic fantasy that's going to come crashing down around them. It's great till you start getting a whiff of human shit on the summer breeze because someone else's idea of ideal is crapping in the street.

California is the garden of fucking eden. It is the most beautiful place I've ever seen. Every day is mind-boggling perfection. The problem is the fucking people. They are all insane. I can't understand how being lucky enough to live in that amazing place makes people turn it to total shit. It's sad really. If I could take all the people in Cali and dump them into the ocean and move good people there I would do it in a heartbeat.
Yup, California would be awesome without all the crazy people there.

When I was a kid I thought everything cool happened in New York & wanted to live there. Thank God that never happened.
I went to New York when it was a nice place. Now, it fucking sucks.
The small coastal towns are still ok. The big cities are. terrible.
