I have a Mercedes convertible that is currently a yard ornament. I think I'm gonna turn it into a buggy but yeah it was an auto and I am definitely a manual person. I miss my old MGs. They ran like shit and went 80 tops but I could tear them down to the ground and put them back together in a day and they were a true pleasure to drive. We don't make fun cars anymore. We make technological marvels or efficient economy passenger vehicles or comfortable hauling machines, but we don't make fun.

I used to "borrow" my dad's '64 Triumph Spitfire from time to time as a teenager. He wasn't using it! And I was maintaining the fuck out if it because it was AWESOME! I even got a rollover bar for it, just to placate mom. I'm sure that is still somewhere in their disaster of a garage... where the Triumph SHOULD HAVE BEEN kept. Now it's a rust nightmare. My '59 Hillman Minx parked next to it is not much better, to be fair... but it's just a Hillman; not an epic sports car. Oh well, whatever. I moved away and stayed away, so I guess it's kind of my fault in that regard.
The missus keeps reminding me that I NEED TO stay in control of the Ford Model A my grandfather gave me... but it's still in what had been his garage, so at lest there's that. But that is a different kind of fun. And I have a boat to take care of right now. And that CLUTCH album just ended. Now I think i have to hear what Electric Six has been up to!
Gasoline cars are going away. You need to get as many of those badass old ones as you can and put em in a desert cave somewhere safe lol.
Boats are fun but they are giant holes in the water you throw money into. They are so. Fucking. Expensive.

I just got another bill from the county FOR THE PIECE OF WATER my boat is moored on!
They charge property tax EVERYWHERE they can! or even can't! To hell with admiralty law and all that!
