Think about how politicians act. Their whole MO is glad-handing and ass-kissing. They will lie to anyone just to tell them what they want to hear. They will run up to a mom and take her baby to kiss and hold for a photo-op, or walk to a church to hold up a bible for a photo-op, or start crying at the border fence despite nobody there for a photo-op.

They do things utterly impossible for a normal grounded man to do because they are so repulsive. They're all psychopaths, it's a requirement for the job.

I've never thought about being a politician but it should be easier to become one.. Maybe make advertising illegal and you only get 5 minutes of video a week or everyone goes to the same debates and it's tax funded or something

Even if it not a closed system (which it is) the traits inherent to the job are the opposite of a morally sound person.

It's easy to do.

You go to City Hall, fill out the forms and submit them.

Many cities, like mine, charge a couple of thousand dollars to run. However, many cities offer fee waivers, if you qualify.

We had our friends and family all run for city council, school board, etc, and managed to secure a few positions, last cycle. We did have some people on the ballot backed by Soros and some of those also made it into local positions.
