That's certainly true. But many are taught we are a free ride to citizenship where we are raped in courts. It's like the lottery for citizenship, finance, and hypergammy.

Of course, something I learned is this: ALL WOMEN are status seekers in some shape, form or fashion. Be it resources, looks, height, size of a man's package, status, education, profession, etc. It's a part of the game the concern should be if they genuinely like you, all of you as opposed to strictly you being a meal ticket. But let me tell you these "career women" in America are even bigger status seekers than these women in the third world for obvious reasons. If a woman has a bachelor's degree and makes $125,000 a year in a good job then she will EXPECT you to be AT MINIMUM on that same level and ideally substantially HIGHER than that.
I personally know some white women where that's not true. But those women, which you describe, certainly exist. Especially as you move away from the countryside.
Upbringing has a lot to do with it.
Quite possibly. Culture is a part of it. Women here have oftentimes been raised to focus more on a man's profession rather than his character, etc.
