I am an atheist/agnostic/whatever. I don't force my beliefs on anyone because there is nothing to actually force. I can also prove there is no god/higher being with one possible exception. 1) If god is benevolent, then he wouldn't tolerate the horrible things we do to each other. If you read the bible, you know pretty quick that god is not benevolent, ordering his believers to kill the Canaanites (black people), dumping his (((chosen))) people into the fucking desert for 40 years, etc. 2) Since #1 is not possible, we are dealing with a malevolent god. A truly malevolent god wouldn't tolerate the competition from the "godless" socialist or communist state nor nuclear-power states with the near god-like power to destroy million of people at one time. 3) The only possible version of #2 that could exist is a) an apathic god or b) a sadistic god that toys with humanity for his own pleasure. I reject both of these as well. Primarily the sadistic god because if he destroy us with no effort, why bother toying with us? I guess a Glenn Quagmire sadistic god is a possibility, but that would be more of an instant gratification with sex or drugs situation. Not giving a fuck with humanity overall in some great plan. Why bother if wholesale destruction can be done in a second?
