How does the weatherfags know what 115 feels like? Why isn't there a "cold index"? Women seem to think they are freezing when it's 90 outside.

The southern states uses hurricanes to scare people too. "NOAA has the storm going back out to sea, endangering no one but our Fox Weather radar has the storm coming straight up I-45, with expected death tolls in the thousands with human blood flooding expected at 4 to 6 feet.

Fuck the local news.

EDIT: snow reporting is the only useful thing the local news can cover but we don't need a fucking non-stop coverage for 8 fucking hours.

It's just heat and humidity. If the humidity is high in the summer, it's muggy - the heat "sticks" to you. The heat index is a formula that calculates what this air temp and humidity level would "feel" similar to if the humidity was 0%. Like 90 degrees at 80% humidity would feel like 110 degrees 0% humidity. If the atmosphere is saturated with water, it becomes harder for an object to dump heat. That's where the feels like comes from. embed

Whoa. So the heat index has an actual formula to calculate it. That moves heat index from being "a made up word" to "racist".
