It was fucking hilarious when that guy sent a copied audio CD (forget the trash band) to the CEO. Sony had spent something like $10 million at the time to develop the root kit and copy protection.
Literally all it took to defeat it was not autorunning things that were inserted. It's like putting a wire tie around your doorknob to keep people from opening the door.
