Been married 37 years now. Spouse still thinks voting makes a difference. Still thinks there is hope in America. Still watches Tucker and believes in muh ‘merica. We agree on a lot, but recently (last 3 years) I’ve seen a big separation on agreement politically. Maybe I’m the fucked up one, but he (yes, he) has always been an optimist. And no, it’s not a gay marriage. I’m a female. But this evening, he was so vitriolic about how negative I am. Said some things to me that, as I type this, makes cry. So hurtful. We are traditional, but damn. Wake up man.

>The thing about being around really black-pilled people (and I myself am pretty black-pilled) is the lack of hope you feel and the staggering amount of despair that it produces. It can stifle people who still want to hold on to some chance that things will turn out okay. It can suck their optimism out of the room like sucking out the air and makes it hard to breath. Not everyone can handle the black pilled. My guess is your husband knows inside that things are pretty fucked, but he doesn't want to stop hoping because what is left is just nothing. And some people with no hope will just give up. I'm sure he lashed out because facing the stark reality is scary for some and also depressing. Plus, it's hard to be around someone if they're a downer and pointing out how bad things are all the time.>>

One of the best insights from my post. Truly appreciated.
