I hate Mac, but those 2000s iMacs were pretty fucking cool looking

Yas! The PC knockoff was available. Megabytes of ram!

I hazard to say it may have inspired some kids to get more interested in technology. If that was the case, cool. Otherwise, yeah, I had some of that stuff growing up. It did feel a lot cheaper and crappier but it still worked.

They were great at showing you how much dust was accumulating inside the device. Beyond that the plastic looked ultra cheap and showed off the screw bosses, reinforcement ribs, injection mold sprue points and ejector pin witness marks very prominently. I did not like that time period in 90s design aesthetics.

What if you like to see all those things?? My mom got my brother and I these back in ~1995. Definitely not cheap. They took a pretty good beating.

Yeah that’s a classic. I just think it’s neat to see the guts. So amazing what White people can invent.

Yessir, besides the obvious ones like the atomic putple Gameboy Color and N64 controllers my cousins had a clear plastic telephone you could see the innards of. LEDs would light up and flash inside when it rang.
