Statue made of fiberglass, melts at 1000 F, gets hit by lightning at 50,000 F. Interesting that the statue was built with a staircase to eyes so you got to see the view up top thru Jesus' eyes.

I could see it clearly from the outside terrace of the Mangos Restaurant in Larcomar last week. An excellent place to eat.

Back in 2010 the "touchdown jesus" got smite by God and it was struck by lightning and burned down.

Our Lord is not too fond of statues anyway, so no big loss I guess.
