India really confuses me as a country. They have such rich history, nuclear weapons, a space program, a leading pioneer in gen 4 nuclear power plants (including Thorium), yet they still shit in the street, hold a caste system, and float dead bodies down the same river they drink and bathe from
It has to do with the 3 different racial/ethnic groups in the country. To simplify it, northern = lighter skinned aryian blood, south = darker, east gets chinky. It is a pretty diverse place.
edt: they haven't had the caste system for a few decades, but you mention a caste system as if it is a bad thing?
It's because of sheer size of the population that they still have a decent amount of geniuses. Say 0.1% have an IQ of over 120, that's like 1.4 million smart people since their population is nearly 1.4 billion. Plus, I believe they were originally white-ish (indo-aryan) so it's probably the less diluted ones in present day that contribute to their science and technology fields. There are huge amounts of diversity in their population since they've been race mixed to hell and back for hundreds (if not thousands) of years. Indians are essentially a present day look at what the end results of the kalergi plan will bring.
A successful society depends on many factors. Some societies have more of one thing or the other. There aren't any that have a combination equal to northern Europeans.
