Here in USA, I have standard and metric ratchet sockets, but the ratchet drives come only in standard 1/4”, 3/8” and 1/2”. if i were to go pick up a socket set in fag canada or europistan, what are the ratchet drive sizes available? are they the same 1/4, 3/8, 1/2? are they the same sizes but they call them the metric equivalent i.e. 6.35mm, 9.525mm, 12.7mm? or is there a completely different ratchet drive sizing in those countries?

A quick search suggests that the world uses Imperial measurement for this one thing - so 1/4, 3/8, and 1/2.

Probably due to exporting cars and other machinery.
