I’m trying to find different options of clamping holders that work with this kind of fitting, but I don’t know what it’s called it’s the kind common for phone and tablet holders with the ball that snaps into something and a ring screws on to hold it together and can be adjusted for tension.

There seems to be a range of different ball mounting options.

Found a few by looking for "1" Ball Adapter Mount". Seems to be a few different sizes, depending on the weight of what you want to hold, but 1" and 3/4" seem pretty common, with adapter bars to convert between sizes and mix and match bases and ends (e.g. Phone holder or DSLR camera mount).

I think I've searched "11mm ball" and gotten solid search results before.

I've also seen it called a Ball and socket.

Yeah. I just didn’t know if there was a particular name for the type that’s so popular with phone holders/mounta.
