That seems like overkill. As if enough people are going to show up (in freezing rain to an inauguration that's not taking place there) to warrant that many soldiers. That's like an invasion defense force. Look at last year when Trump had soldiers protecting the Lincoln memorial when there were tens if not hundreds of thousands of people there threatening to ransack DC, wasn't anywhere close to that many soldiers

What if the soldiers are all there because Trump dumps all their blackmail files (every video of everything they did that allowed them to be blackmailed to begin with) on the internet on the way out the door. It would trigger the internet shutdown spoken of. It would create a huge surge of protesters at the capital from both political ideologies. It would be biblical. Burn the whole thing down on the way out, Biden would be toast, hell most of them would be. I would say then it would take that many soldiers to keep DC from being destroyed. If NSA really did have the blackmail laptops and "accidentally releases it all", well, biblical would be a very good description of the fallout after, even normies would have bloodlust. Yea I know, hopium, sue me, but still, if I was Trump I'd declass and release the whole slew of everything on my way out as my final fuck you. It would be glorious.
