That's adorable!
My daughter has named them Dolan and Daisy.
Hey I have a meal worm colony. I'm assuming live meal worms are ok instead of dried(per the feeding article)? I'm so glad I have them now. I did it for my son's lizard. Wish the wax worms had reproduced. I might have to try another kind of bug for variety!
I just use dried since I can get huge quantities cheap. Toss a handful into a bowl of water. Turn over some dirt with a shovel and toss them the worms. They'll recognize the shovel as a food-getter and follow you around. You can get a dozen feeder goldfish for a dollar or two. Throw them in a kiddie pool and watch the magic.
Now I have to start a meal worm colony.
It's insanely easy. I'll post the link to the best colony idea that I found. It had to be simple bc my son was required to keep up with it.
I'm watching a 20 minute tutorial right now!
