There's a hawk that's slowly picking them off. Were kind of letting nature take its coarse.
I felt horrible for him since he obviously cared about them, but wasn't something I could take on.
Tried to explain how he could put them online on facebook/craigslist, so that people would buy or take them.
Hoping his sister did that instead of killing them. She was after money and also kicking him out of their dead parents' home, so surely she eventually saw how she might at least make a buck off of them.
Was an odd encounter in meeting someone in person, and then finding out all their drama in the span of a few hours.
That's too bad. I've seen it happen before with dogs.
