Between my quail and ducks, I *murdered* hundreds and hundreds of birds last year if you want to view it that way (I don't). They have very pampered lives as to minimize losses while they grow out. When the time comes, it's lights-out as humanely as possible. They are very friendly little birds and will climb all over my hands and react to my voice.
