This does not surprise me in the least. Kids don't seem to be taught the various forms of Governments around the world or shown examples of the results of them.

There has been a deliberate dumbing-down of our schools, at least since GHWB's 'Goals 2000', which said that US students would reign over those from all of the other industrialized countries. Down the line of succession, including W's equally disastrous NCLB and through O's iterations of the same but with ID politics thrown in, we have a system in which US students don't come in first; they come in at the bottom.

The NEA recently voted to drop 'student learning' (which is what schools do) as its main reason for educating US students and replacing it with a 'Woke' agenda. (ID politics, transgenderism, etc.)

The universities and the research firms that churn out this stuff should have been reported on by the MSM. All US parents needed to have known about this and voted out anyone who was pushing this in their school systems and letting the DOE in DC know that this won't be tolerated..

Look at the damage that has been done to our school systems and children for the last 20 years. Very few students can read, think, understand complex and abstract material, understand multiple texts with differing materials, or read long passages of text(s) to understand them. Why? Because the education system doesn't teach this anymore.
