All the videos I uploaded to the QStrom Videos channel are broken and unwatchable. I put a lot of work into that channel, engaged and recruited a lot of people to this site. Most are gone now, this place a desolate landscape. This place was a haven, it got shut down like so many others. It's a shame.

Poal hasn’t been shut down.

The reason why some of your old videos aren’t loading anymore is because our vid8 storage host experienced a “catastrophic” raid corruption and wasn’t able to repair or restore it, even a backup. Thus the red message on vid8 front page.

I worked, with the help of @Khro_, to restore the most videos we could, but some need to be re-shared by their original accounts.

If you can and want to get your old vid8 links working back again, you can upload the videos you still have saved somewhere on kikebox and provide to me a list of all the vid8 links along with their related kikebox links.

That way I’ll be able to manually re-upload them to their original folders on vid8.

I did setup an automatic local backup for all the uploads since. So there’s no more risk of losing anything uploaded on vid8 and also Poal (images).

Trust me, I was as pissed as you are when the host admitted they won’t be able to restore our data (part of a much larger node).
